Work of Photographer Jonah Markowitz to be Featured at AidJoy’s Silent Auction

Jonah Markowitz is a New York City based photographer who traveled with AidJoy to the Peruvian Amazon in 2012 to document the work of Project Amazonas delivering health care to people living in remote communities in the rainforest. Some of his compelling work will be available as matted 11 x 17 prints at AidJoy’s silent auction on September 5th.

The photos are richly textured glimpses into daily life in Peru, in both urban and jungle environments. His work is documentary in style, but it is filled with the humor, happiness, and beauty of a unique culture that deserved to be shared with the rest of the world. Get tickets to our gala here.
